Blood noir by laurell k hamilton6/29/2023 ![]() Guess what makes him feel better? The whole beginning of the book was extremely frustrating and boring. Jason is sad and Nathaniel and Anita are trying to cheer him up and figure out what's bothering the usually happy Jason. To no surprise the book starts off with sex, a menage a trois. Like, The Harlequin was better than say Micah but Obsidian Butterfly was better than Incubus Dreams.-for me. ![]() The latter part of the series have been hit and miss with me. I honestly didn't know what to expect before reading Blood Nior. But for those of us who still love Richard, there is a new and interesting twist. ![]() It focuses mainly on the development of the relationship between Anita and Jason. The storyline isn't so complex, the cast, not so large. I found this book enjoyable, partially for its simplicity. Marmee Noir is also playing tricks again with Anita, causing a two day orgy that Anita can't remember, and for which I was glad the reader wasn't subjected to. And they get stuck in a media storm, as well as a kidnap threat. It turns out that Jason is mistaken for the wealthy son of the ex-Governor who is about to run for President. ![]() This time Jason asks her as a friend to accompany him home so that he can reconcile with his Dad, before his Dad dies. This one is similar to "Micah" in that it focuses mainly on developing the relationship between Anita and just one of her men. ![]()
