Many are in-between chapter books and middle grade and this is the perfect fit. I think the hardest age group to find reading material for is kids from 8-10. I finished this book in one sitting! The book provides full page illustrations throughout and has a little more white space than a typical middle grade novel. At 200+ pages, this is definitely longer than a chapter book, but felt like an easy read to me.
